Lanthanum Nitrate is mainly applied in specialty glass, water treatment, and catalysts. Various compounds of Lanthanum and other rare-earth elements (Oxides, Chlorides, etc.) are components of various catalysts, such as petroleum cracking catalysts. Small amounts of Lanthanum added to steel improves its malleability, resistance to impact, and ductility, whereas the addition of Lanthanum to Molybdenum decreases its hardness and sensitivity to temperature variations. Small amounts of Lanthanum are present in many pool products to remove the Phosphates that feed algae.

Application

Lanthanum nitrate can be used in lanthanum tungsten, lanthanum molybdenum cathode materials, three-way catalysts, petrochemicals, steam lamp shade additives, cemented carbide, refractory metals, and other industries.

Packing & Shipping

Lanthanum nitrate is deliquescent and oxidizing. Chemical dangerous goods. Inhalation of lanthanum and its compound fumes can cause headaches and nausea, and severe cases can lead to death. Because lanthanum nitrate has combustion-supporting properties, it is an explosive product.
